Being A Backstreet Boy

I totally agree with the author of the article. There have been many times when I've wanted to stake out the hotel they were staying at but realized that the hotel is like thier home away from home and we should respect that. People have to realize that the Boys need their space and that we should only go to see the boys when we are supposed to, ie concerts, press conferences, in-store signings, etc. and not follow them everywhere. They need to live their life also. Think of it as a younger sibling who just wants to do everything that you do, hang out with your friends, wear your clothes and everything else, you wouldn't like it would you?? Well in a way we are the younger siblings who just want to be with the Boys all the time. And please don't let your lives revolve around the Boys or your fav boy. A perfect example is a couple nights ago I was at my friends house and she wanted to watch Pulp Fiction, when no one else wanted to and no one else had seen it. Well the next day she says to me, "I'm surprised you haven't seen Pulp Fiction cuz it's AJ's fav movie." I'm sorry but I'm not going to see a completely pointless, not to mention plotless movie, just because it's AJ's fav movie!! There I think I've said more then i needed to.

I think that the fans should just be greatful for all that the Backstreet Boys have given them. I know it has brought my daughter and I close together because we enjoy the same music and travelled a distance to see them in concert. I too would send them a note of thanks for their hard work and dedication to the fans! Fans young/old love them!

I agree with what Lori had to say. I think it all boils down to 'do unto others as you would have them do unto you'

I agree with this article. Many fans don't really sit down and think of all the things the Backstreet Boys have given up to make us happy. They have hardly any free time with their families and girlfriends because they're so busy. They put up with a lot of nasty things people may say about them and they put up with their fans stealing personal items or bombarding them wherever they are. I think everything's gone too far and we owe it to them to give them their space and privacy. We also owe it to their girlfriends. So many people call them names when all they know is that they're going out with they're favorite backstreet boy. It's not fair to the girlfriend or to Brian, AJ, Nick, Howie, or Kevin. It must hurt them to see so many mean things written about their girlfriends. We need to give them a break - they're regular people! I hope people decide to give them some more privacy, they deserve it.

I wholeheartedly agree with the opinion of this woman. As much as I may adore them and revere their music/talent or even them, I still don't believe how some fans can decide that they're not people, they're merely objects. I think that the Backstreet Boys deserve to have their life and to be treated as they should be. Try thinking of what kind of hell it might be to live in fear of your life, just trying not to be noticed when out in public; but of course they have to love their jobs, if they didn't why would they be doing it. Anyways, it's awesome that they dedicate their lives to their fans so much and they should get back some more respect (not in fanatic terms) in turn. KTBSPA!!!

I totally aree with this article because they thank us , the fans constently but do we really thank them? Yes , we always say we love them and want to marry them but that does'nt always show our appreciation for them ,and their music. When they release a song dedicated to all of the fans out there we take that for granite alot of the time and don't notice that they really appreciate us but we hardly ever , really and truthfully show our love and gratitude for them.

I think Lori's article is great. Many fans just don't think about those things and they really should. I hear alot of stories from people about being disappointed in the guys but I think if they read this article, they would understand all that they really do for their fans. Aside from their tremendous talent, they are normal and they can't always be personality plus all the time. They can't make time for every single fan 24 hours a day, they need some down time also. I think Lori's article can open alot of people's eyes as to how much they really do. Thanks to Lori for putting it in writing =)
