Hey guys... first of all, my prayers are with ever1 who lost the loved ones during this tragedy and for all the people involved. From what I know, one of my friend who lives in Toronto saw the Boys, they are ALL in canada and ALL safe. I also heard - this might be a rumor - that Leighanne was supposed to be on flight #11 but she chose to fly earlier. Thank God. Next to my city we have a NATO military base... I saw planes in the sky this morning. I am SCARED!! One word: PRAY! And remember THE LOVE IS ALIVE!

I would just like to comment on a person who has written into this, his name would be KEVIN. I understand Kevin that your country is in absolute shock, but fans will be fans what ever happens in this world and will always express themselves about the BOYS. Did anyone want to actually think that the BOYS could have been on one of those planes, as they had a flight out of BOSTON and had to do another concert somewhere else. So maybe they could have been hurt in this blantant malious attack. My prayers are with you all in the States, and also with the BOYS and there families, as all this obviously has come as such a shock to the whole world, believe me, I live in Australia, and I'm in shock with what's happened to your country.

And so to you Kevin, I understand how worried you are, but the BOYS are a worry to alot of fans too, and they mightn't have had time to react yet, or would rather focus on the BOYS, rather than think about what has just happened. Give the fans a fair go mate.

Thank-you to all you for reading this, and I am so sorry about what's happened to you all, and my prayers go out to anyone that has had any loved ones and family effected by all this.

I know this might seem pointless right now to some, but I have found the full length single of "DROWNING" it's on the Brian Littrell ~ Golden Voiced Backstreet Boy Web Site. It's fantastic, and very powerful. Have fun listening.

In my oppinion, I think Jamie was really rude and unsensitive. He really went to far in his jokes, they weren't even funny. It made me really mad to here Jamie say all those things about AJ what made me even more mad was when he took out that bottle of champaign. That was not right. For him to do that was really mean. I think he owes an appology to the Backstreet Boys esspecially to AJ. That is the least he can do. And to AJ keep up the good work I knew you could do it and congratulations on being 64 days sobber. I'm proud of you and i'm sure your friends and family are to.
Love Always,
Lorena

I'm seeing this at a different angle. Yes, Jamie was at fault. Not entirely. MTV goes over time segments, scripts, and concepts with each performer. They do have their guidelines as odd as that may sound. They did ban Dice for life.
MTV apologized somewhat in the reairing of the awards. The comments about AJ were removed.
Jamie and MTV went too far. Doesn't MTV push the buttons every year?
I'm more offended by the fact that MTV seemed to support AJ and kept us informed of his progress, then turned around and let these comments be aired. It's sad that a station geared to younger fans would degrade people dealing with social or emotional issues, as well as, physical addictions. How do they expect young people to go to their parents or teachers for help when it's so downplayed in the media?
A.J. and the others involved ( Clinton and Maria) are owed an apology from both MTV and Jamie Foxx.
We must stand along with the guys and not make a big fuss over this. After all, someone has to be the adult! The less whining and more serious talk about this will bring change. DO we really want to be known as the Backstreet babies?

How can we talk about the silly VMAs when America was attacked visciously ...and without remorse or concern for human live..i like bsb and i care for what u all say but i think right now we need to DROP THIS CRAP and thinkabout soem real important stuff..like the ppl in new york and DC who were MURDERED in cold blodd by terrorism ..and all of us should pray for them right now....they will be other awards for the boys to get but right now....our #1 fan concern should be about AMerica and support her ... boy bands come and go but our freedom is the best thing..better than any ward MTv has got to give....

thank you
kev, a male fan

Okay. I write this out of genuine concern for A.J. Jamie Foxx had no right to lampoon A.J. like that. What pisses me off the most is that MTV didn't do a damned thing to stop the lampooning.
There's an appropriate time and an appropriate place to joke about things like that. Alcoholism really isn't anything that needs to be joked about. Even if Mr Foxx didn't mean what he said it still doesn't make it right.
I still think that he needs to appologize for what he said. Even if it was in bad taste, which BTW, it was.

First, I just want to send my prayers to all the people and their families who were affected by today's tradgedy in the States....Up here in Canada we are all praying for you, and our thoughts are with you.
Second, at the MTV Awards, AJ obviously expects that people, well, the press, will be making jokes out of his rehab. However, I feel that when Jamie Foxx offered the bottle of champagne, that was beyond a joke, it was uncalled for, and above all, rude and ignorant. He should publicly apologize for that.......

I think that what Jamie Foxx did was disgusting and the worst part of it is that MTV didn't do anything to stop it.
I told my mother what had happened the next day I told her what Mr. Foxx did and she said that he was an asshole.
I signed several petitions against MTV and Jamie Foxx telling them to appologize and I've been on a letter writting campain to get them to appologize to A.J.
I wouldn't be surprised if Kevin tore Jamie Foxx a new belly-button.
Kevin is right. IT'S TIME FOR A JAMIE FOXX BEAT DOWN!

I am a big backstreet fan, but what I am about to write might make people think other wise. I dont see what the bid deal is with the whole Jamie Foxx making fun of AJ thing? Cause if you didnt notice, AJ wasnt the only one being made fun of!!! And believe it or not, AJ's a big boy and I think that AJ has become used to being made fun of, AJ knows that being critized is a part of his carreer. And another, to all those people who are wishing death on Jamie Foxx, you should all be ashamed of yourself and I want you to think about this.... Is AJ there defending you when someone makes fun of you? I didnt think so! So I think y'all should just ease up on Jamie a little

Please keep all the people who have died today or were in this tradgedy, in your prayers. There were thousands of people who died, lots of children who had their dreams shattered, because of this terrible incident. To all the people who had to experience this, you are in my prayers, I'm sorry this had to happen.

I know this doesn't have to do with the VMA's, but please post it.

Okay, I thought that the awards were okay and i gotta admit that what Jamie Foxx did to AJ was pretty mean, but some people are blowing this way out of proportion. One girl wrote that she wished that Jamie Foxx was in the world trade center today when the unfourtunate attack took place, That was just mean!!!!! I mean I am a big backstreet fan and I defend the backstreet boys in everything, but to wish death on someone in such a cruel and heartless way is just awful.

i turned on the mtv awards on to see the backstreet boys . I really was disappointed in jamie foxx's comments about aj promblems he is to be complimented in getting help. his comments were not needed and i resent what he said nobody understands what aj had to deal with i losted my mother 6 years and have never really healed from the whole thing . mtv needs to be more selective in who they get to host the show. turnt

Jamie Foxx was cruel, BSB should have won yes that's true. But I have better things to worry about. I just lost my father and my sister thanks to the people who hijaked the AA plane to crash into the WTC. As far as I'm concerned, the only reason why I'm kind of ok is because I've been listening to the Backstreet Boys since 10 this morning when i found out about the accident. My prayers go out to all of the people in New York and Washington who are going through the same thing that I am going through. If you need someone to talk to, I'll be here probly all night. BTW, is everyone certain that the boys were not hurt?? PLEASE reply, i need to know this. God Bless to those thousands of people who lost their lives today.
